Mission

New Mexico is the quantum state

New Mexico built the technologies that defined the 20th Century. Roadrunner Quantum Lab exists to make sure it also defines the next one.

Why We Exist

Quantum needs more breakthroughs

Quantum technology is approaching a turning point. The science is real, the applications are close, and the talent exists.

What remains missing is the infrastructure to build companies at scale. Too many teams spend years recreating the same facilities, equipment, and capabilities before they can focus on building the products that matter. The Roadrunner Quantum Lab exists to change that.

Located in the heart of Albuquerque, the Roadrunner Quantum Lab gives companies access to the facilities and partnerships needed to accelerate development and commercialization. Home to Sanida and Los Alamos National Laboratories, a growing photonics and semiconductor manufacturing base, and unmatched federal technology transfer programs, New Mexico offers one of the most powerful environments in the world for building quantum companies. The Roadrunner Quantum Lab puts residents at the center of this ecosystem.

Our Principles

Built on firm beliefs

Infrastructure shouldn't be the bottleneck

The challenge of quantum commercialization should be advancing science and winning the market, not rebuilding the same facilities and capabilities from scratch. We provide the infrastructure so companies can focus on breakthrough work.

Place matters in deep tech

In deep tech, geography creates advantage. Located between Los Alamos and Sandia, resident companies gain proximity to world-class talent, research, facilities, and partnerships that cannot be replicated anywhere else globally.

Innovation compounds in density

The most important breakthroughs rarely happen in isolation. When ambitious companies, researchers, and builders work side by side, knowledge moves faster, opportunities multiply, and progress accelerates for everyone.

The Studio

Company creation is our core
